Yoga

Yoga with our three-year-old kinder group.

Practicing yoga with our children.

According to the Australian parenting website Raising Children, mixing things up, such as sports, activities and games, to keep children active not only keeps them interested but also allows for them to learn new skills.

At Mentone Childcare and Kindergarten, Ms. Rose, one of our educators, teaches basic yoga postures to our little ones often with the use of props, such as ribbons. Whilst yoga is considered mainstream for adults in the recent years, not many people realise that this meditative exercise is also beneficial for our children. Practicing yoga with our children shows them the value of keeping active and encourages them to maintain healthy habits.

Providing opportunities to learn and, at the same time, to have fun is at the core of Mentone Kindergarten’s objectives. If you want to know more about our program,  click here to Contact Us or find us on Facebook
